12″ Sheet Metal Shear Steel Aluminum Copper Hand Cutter
I purchased this shear for something not quite its intended use, viz., cutting FR4 (fiberglass) printed circuit boards. PCB-specific shears are far more expensive, and most likely not built quite as well as this—it’s made of heavy steel and has a smooth cutting action with plenty of leverage.
It makes clean, straight cuts, the adjustable hold-down is easy to use, and it cuts through PCBs like butter. While I haven’t used it on any other materials, it seems clear that sheet metal and plastics will be no problem at all.
For about the best price I could find I got exactly what I needed. It was delivered quickly and in good shape. Cuts through my metal sheet plates like a charm.
